Ayr Racecourse is committed to providing a superior level of customer service to Owners and Trainers.
In conjunction with the BHA we aim to provide competitive racing, according to the needs of the majority of Owners, Trainers and horse population. We support this by staging ‘feature’ racedays, with attractive levels of prize money and higher rated races.
Trainers receive going reports at entry and declaration stages by telephone, fax, e-mail and/or text message.
For up to date information on the Going and the forecast for any fixture, please contact the Clerk of the Course/Head Groundsman, Graeme Anderson, on 07768 651261
An on-going programme of capital investment and modern equipment purchases ensures the best possible racing surface for all horses.
Ayr is renowned throughout the UK and beyond for the hospitality it provides Owners and Trainers. We strive to ensure the best possible raceday experience for Owners visiting the course with runners, and in recognition of this were awarded an RCA Showcase Owners’ Experience Award honouring the care and attention afforded.
Each Owner with a runner visiting Ayr receives four complimentary 2 course buffet lunches, with wine, with each Trainer receiving two. Lunch is either served in our Award winning 4* Western House Hotel on site, or within a prime Hospitality facility. Additional lunch guests are welcome, subject to availability, at a cost of £40 + VAT per person, and £10 + VAT for under 16s.
We have a dedicated and clearly signposted Owners and Trainers Bar, located in the main stand opposite the Winners Enclosure overlooking the parade ring, where a designated racecourse representative looks after the needs of Owners and Trainers.
The bar is of good size, tastefully furnished, offers complimentary tea/coffee, a range of refreshments for purchase, and large plasma screens for viewing races and tote Betting Shop.
Please register at the Western House Hotel entrance for entry tickets. Single and joint owners are entitled to six complimentary entry badges; syndicate owners are entitled to eight, while trainers are entitled to two. ROA badge holders who do not have a runner on the day will receive one complimentary badge for the club enclosure.
Ayr Racecourse is situated a mile from the centre of Ayr and The Western House Hotel Reception is reached by proceeding past the main racecourse entrance on Whitletts Road (passing a Tesco Store and McDonalds Restaurant). We provide a designated signposted area on the main Stand, close to the Parade Ring, to allow Owners and Trainers the best possible viewing position during Racing.
Following each race, our dedicated Owners and Trainers Liaison ensures that every win is most definitely one to be celebrated and remembered.
